The Borough of Kane, Pennsylvania is a beautiful town nestled at the edge of the Allegheny National Forest in northwestern Pennsylvania. It was founded by Civil War general Thomas L. Kane. Kane is located 94 miles (151 km) east by south of Erie. At an elevation of 2210 feet (674 m) above sea level. In the early part of the twentieth century, Kane had large glassworks, bottle works, lumber mills, and manufactures of brush handles, saws, cutlery, screen doors and windows, etc. According
to the 2006
census, the borough had a total population of 3,862. Kane has a
